Recovery is an ongoing process, for both myself and my personal friends and family. I'm still dealing with the hard facts that I have torn my family to pieces. I still need to gain trust again from those I love and hold dear to my heart. My addiction has cost my parents their lives savings. It is something that I must work on every single day and it's something that doesn't get a day off. Coming to Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Poplar, MO gave me the hope that something or someone other than drugs and alcohol will fill up the emptiness inside.
