I am on Methadone but want to get a job that requires a drug test. Should I worry about it showing up?

My best advice to you is to talk to the employer beforehand. Let them know you’re on a Methadone maintenance program so you don’t have to worry about showing up dirty for a test!

You should be okay. Regular drug tests, like the ones you get at the store usually do not test for Methadone,

It dose but just depends on the test. If you’re going in for a job interview and take a test that tests for Methadone, you’re covered under the Americans with Disability’s act so leglly the company can’t not hire you for using Methadone legally.

Yes! It does. Feel out your employer and see if you think he/she will understand you’re using Methadone because it has saved your life.
