I’m worried about driving while on Methadone. Will it make me a danger to myself and other on the road?

It’s a hit or miss. If you feel like you can’t drive, talk to your doctor about lowering the dosage. If you feel impaired, your dose is to high.

Yes. Until you find a dose that is night too high you will feel a bit tired and it’s best to wait a while before getting behind the wheel.

If you’re on the right dose, you will be able to drive just fine. It may take you a while to get used to the effects so have a friend or family member drive you to the clinic your first week or so.

Like any other drug, Methadone has warnings saying it might make you drowsy. You’ll be able to tell if you can or cannot drive. Good luck to you.
