Jackson Recovery Centers Inc

My son is in the residential treatment currently. I have no idea what is being done there. The counselor NEVER calls when she says she will. They don’t keep me updated about anything. They never returns voicemails and rarely answer any of the phone numbers. They “team” kids for doing things at random. My son and a roommate tried to fix a broken fan. They couldn’t fix it. He was “teamed” for distruction of property and not allowed a home visit. The very next week, he was “teamed” for trading clothes, (which I know for a fact that the counselor knew about because I have brought it up before), and they will try to keep him from a home visit again. Not going to happen. My 14 yr old is allowed to curse to the adults. On a conference call with him and the counselor, I had to bring it up and say it is absolutely unacceptable. Instead of trying to counsel my son on how to maintain a healthy, drug free lifestyle AT HOME, they are trying to talk him in to going to boystown Omaha for another residential at least year long program. I have asked to speak with a supervisor 2 different times, I have yet to receive a phone call. I think the staff that actually are on the kids areas all the time are good but I have yet to see anything positive.
