My boyfriend plans on detoxing from methadone, when can I expect to see the peek of his withdrawals?

The first 10 day of methadone withdrawal are by far the worst. Between days 11 to 21 is when most people consider it to be the peak. You will have the most physical symptoms then when strong cravings.

Around week 2 week 3 was the worst of it for me. Detox was rough but it was the best thing I could have done for myself. two years clean and sober and feeling amazing>

For me it peaked at about 3 weeks, I mean it was bad before but at this point I really felt like I couldn’t take it any longer and my cravings were pretty intense.

It takes like a month to detox from methadone. And the whole thing sucks it wasn’t until month 2 that I started to feel normal again.
