Its not fair when you have your takehomes for years and you go through a shortage of money during a short time so you have to pick up a couple days late a few times and they wanna take away your take homes. I mean duh that only leaves you struggling harder. They dont provide a system of help when you need help every once in a while with the cash especially if youve been there for years with take home priveliges. It did help me save money and quit other drugs from the streets (actually i had to change my entire environment to quit other drugs cause i was still smoking pot and taking xanexs here and there for a long time after i started methadone until i got away from the people that were influencing me to do it.) but anyways when it comes time to wein from this as soon as you get down to 15 to 20 mgs its hell all ready. Liquid handcuffs. What made me quit cold turkey: i had to skip 2 days cause we needed the money to pay for a certain christmas present for my kids. A TV of their own. The nurse said to me "It seems to me you would have thought getting your medicine was more important" i was like actually No my childrens happiness is way more important. If i have to suffer a couple days to see them smile really big on christmas morning then thats a small sacrifice in my mind. Then i realised all the extra things our family could have if i didnt have to spend 400 bucks a month just to feel normal. So i quit cold turkey. Puuuurrree Heeeeeelllllll!!!!! But i did it and guess what? Nobody, no counselor, nurse, nobody from that place called to see if i were dead or alive. All they want is your money. Like i said it will save you money in the long run and possibly help you get off other drugs as well but it is very hard to quit methadone. I would choose something like suboxone if able (cause it is expensive), to where the withdrawals do not drag out for weeks and months. Im still not right and it been about a month. Sure im not going through the sick stuff anymore that makes you wanna die but im still energyless and i dont i just aint right. Luckily i have no way to get druvs anymore due to the long time spacing myself away from those people or id prob done bought some pain pills. Lol. But im too far in this now no going back. No way will i put myself through all that again. Good luck to you all and hope your experience is better than mine.

Seek help that doesn’t consist of getting addicted to something like this.

Well weit was Thanksgiving week. Myself and my wife stayed up all night with our son at Huntsville Hospital Women's and Children's. We left the hospital at around 4:45 am. When we arrived at Huntsville Recovery my wife was kicked out of the dosing booth bc they said she looked drowsy. They then denied her dose and her take home for Thanksgiving. When we came back up to the clinic and the nurses checked her out she was released to down. While waiting to dose she attempted to go into 3 different booths and was kicked out of each booth within seconds. They said NO-ONE told them that she could dose. Then when Dana got involved they then told Dana that my wife was nodding out.... Falling asleep while waiting to dose, this is agressious and has NO basis. The fact is the pharmacy staff got mad bc their decision was reversed and they had to find another reason to keep her from dosing. We asked Dana
